NEW ADDITIONS

We would like to announce new additions to our company! Stefanie Chandler has begun with us and will be handling leasing aspects from renewing your leases and rent and much more. Stefanie's number will be listed in the body of this newsletter so that you may reach her for your needs. Kathi will still be coordinating all of your maintenance needs so please continue to contact her with emergencies at 678-760-7249.

Please also remember we need all of your maintenance requests in writing! You will find forms in the lobby of your buildings and coming very soon you will be able to e-mail your requests to us. If there are not forms in your building please let us know. Your concerns are very important to us but cannot be handled unless we have them in writing. We are currently updating/upgrading our computers and the website www.rentinmidtown.com.

Soon we hope to have everything from links to current event sites to maintenance request forms. Keep checking the site for new updates! We are embracing technology thanks to the help of the talented Cheryl Smith who also happens to be a resident!

Next month we will be working on a 'Swap Sheet' for all of our residents. If you have anything you would like to sell and would like to submit the ads for these items to Stefanie, please do so either in the drop box at the office or e-mail these to her at rentinmidtown@bellsouth.net The deadline for these submissions will be by the last day of the month throughout the year.

RECIPE CORNER

As we all know, it is entertaining season! Here is a great idea recipe for dip, as donated by Jean Burke:

  • ˝ c sour cream
  • ˝ c mayonnaise
  • ˝ c salsa
  • ˝ c shredded cheese
  • Lemon pepper (to taste)
  • 15 cleaned/cooked shrimp
  • 4 chopped green onions
Chop and dice 10 shrimp saving 5 for later on in the recipe. Mix the sour cream, mayo, and lemon pepper with the chopped shrimp. In a decorative bowl layer the mixture first, then salsa, cheese, and onions to follow. Place the last 5 shrimp on top for garnish and enjoy!

ANNUAL YARD SALE

Look everyone!! We are having our Annual Yard Sale at 760 Monroe Drive on June 21st!

Please contact Stefanie at the office to sign up for space. The deadline is June 15th to hold a space.

Anything you don't sell that day please donate to a worthy cause, as anything left will be trashed. We look forward to spending the day with you!

We would like to say a few special things about each of our buildings and residents!

  • 685 Penn Avenue will soon be getting a new back balcony face-lift!
  • 760 Monroe Drive has a beautiful yard and we hear all of our residents are so pleased to be there.
  • 292 9th Street has the best record for resident longevity!
  • 734 Argonne looks wonderful! Thank you to Roy Dale for that! His fish in the front pond are getting bigger every day.
  • 669 Boulevard is also looking quite wonderful! Thank you everyone!

MAINTENANCE CHALLENGES

As we had stated in the first article, we need all maintenance requests either submitted in writing or e-mailed through our website once that is completed. Beginning immediately requests phoned in will not be accepted.

We would also like to reiterate a list of maintenance emergencies that will be addressed if phoned in after hours:

  • No A/C if temp is above 85 degrees
  • No heat if temp is below 35 degrees
  • Toilet will not flush
  • No running water
  • Being locked out ($55 fee payable upon entrance to apartment)
  • Flooding
  • Fire or sparks coming from an electrical unit

Also, there are a few things that should be addressed to all of the properties. We never like to harp on issues so will keep this brief. Of course there is always an issue with dog poop. PLEASE pick up after your pets and if you know who is allowing their animals to casually poop wherever they would like please tell us!

At nearly every property we are having challenges with keeping the area around the dumpster clean. We understand that there may be a bit of "dumpster-diving" going on, but when we see garbage coming from these bags has our own residents name in it that is ridiculous. If there continues to be bags left outside the dumpster and not actually placed inside we will have to fine the person's name we find on the garbage. Please understand that this is to keep your home beautiful and sanitary.
